The prestigious biennial Georges River Art Prize is a national art prize that showcases high-quality paintings and sculptures, with a prize pool of $10,000. The award is jointly presented by George River Council and Hurstville Museum and Gallery, and includes categories for painting, sculpture, local artist awards, young artists awards, and youth awards.
Four Welight Art students have been selected as finalists for the Georges River Art Prize's Young Artist Award (7-12 years old). Their artworks will be exhibited at the Clive James Library and Service Centre from October 28, 2023, to January 18, 2024.
